Pro Radius Nipples

After extensive development Bouwmeester has further refined their nipple for their elite wheelsets. What difference does a nipple make you might ask? The contact area of the nipple on the IRD (inner rim diameter) is critical to even load sharing and extended durability of an elite wheelset.

Our Pro Radius nipples have an inner radius specifically designed to match our rim and hub combination, this design parameter is affected by spoke angle, lacing patterns and IRD facings. With maximizing the correct surface area of the nipple with the IRD we've spread the load share of stresses transferred, which in turn increases strength, durability and lifespan of our wheelsets. With this new design we have also been able to reduce weight while still increasing strength through the use of high grade 7075 alloy produced to our spec.
