Tru Wall technology

Bouwmeester has further improved on its WUm2 Gen. II with the new propriety technology of Tru (Thin regulated uniform) Wall.

Tru wall heads away from the old technology of bagging carbon fibre, this process utilizes inflatable bags to expand from internally and give carbon structures their hollow section. This process is known to cause wrinkles in the weave, uneven compression of the composite, create voids and can decrease structural integrity.

Tru wall technology progresses further with the elimination of the bagging system, this leaves internal surfaces smooth and imperfection free which greatly increases structural integrity of the carbon fiber matrix. Because of the even compression of the weave and matrix this process sees decreased voids and increased tensile strength. This basically creates a lighter, stiffer and more durable product further increasing the performance advantage of our elite wheelsets. With the development in this technology we have produced for 2009 our most advanced wheelsets in weight, strength and durability.
