R-spec 5spoke

Newly released for 2009 the R-spec 5-spoke front wheel is designed to be the most aerodynamic shape currently in production for track . All rim surfaces have been designed according to NACA (National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics) profiles. The alloy hub shell is co-moulded with the carbon fiber, then the bearing surfaces are machined into the hub shell by spinning the entire wheel on a giant lathe which ensures highest degree of T.I.R. and lateral offset roundness. Specified bearings are the genuine Ceramic Speed from Denmark. The wheel uses patented TRU (Thin Regulated Uniform) wall curing technology which ensures the internal surface of each wheel is perfectly smooth and the carbon matrix is accurately, evenly and highly compressed (unlike plastic air-bag curing process). In stiffness tests this wheel measures with amazing consistency right around the rim circumference to within +/- 4% variance.This is vastly superior to the leading brand wheel which varies in stiffness between the foam filled spokes (hi stiffness) to the empty outer rim in between by 14% in our measurement.The tyre well has a perfect radius to suit tubular tyres with a well for the thread bead and also our Procave valve holes.
